"Mini-Mini" Photo Sessions

I rarely offer mini photo sessions since I like to spend time shooting many images at various settings. But when the outdoors haven't started "blooming" yet...and sometimes just getting a few updated images of your child is all you really want, a "mini" session could be just for you! I've had "mini" photo sessions before (20-30 minutes at $30.00 session fee), but I wanted to offer "mini-mini" photo sessions. I am reserving next Sunday, March 20 from 3:30-5:30pm at the Meadows in Lake St. Louis just for these sessions. What is a "mini-mini" photo session you ask? You get 15 minutes in one location for $20.00 (no other discounts apply). About a week after your session, I will have your proofs edited and posted to a slideshow and proofing gallery online where you can choose your prints or specialty photo products to order. (10% EA Photo Club discounts DO still apply to print orders and Referral Discounts/Credits also can be applied to these print orders.)

You might be wondering WHERE will she do photo sessions at the Meadows in Lake St. Louis???? Right in the middle of this outdoor shopping center is a beautiful stone/brick Clocktower Plaza. I will use the texture of the brick and stone and natural outdoor lighting to create some beautiful images for you.

These "mini-mini" sessions are best suited for babies 6 months and up, toddlers, children, headshots for adult or children, and possibly small families. These sessions are "weather permitting", but currently the forecast shows partly sunny and 70 degrees for this particular day.

Selling Negatives from Past Photo Sessions

Happy Monday! I usually tell my clients that I will hold on to their "proofs" for about 6 months...but I've kept most of my negatives from film and digital images the entire time I've been in business since 2002! I have to start eliminating because not only do all of the negatives take up quite a bit of physical space in my office, but I also keep buying more hard drives to store my digital images as well. So this month I am going to be destroying my negatives from my 35mm film photo sessions that took place from 2002-2007. I switched over to digital photography in 2007-2008 and eventually I will start eliminating my digital images as well.

If you held a photo session with me from 2002-2007 and would like to purchase your negatives/copyright release, please call or email me. These negatives only will be sold at a very low rate of $50.00 per session. If you held multiple sessions with me during those years, I will discount it a little more for each session. I will be destroying all negatives by the end of this month so this will be your last chance to get prints from those sessions. I am going to do my best to contact everyone either by phone or email (if I have your current contact information) to also let them know this information, but I know I will not get hold of everyone.

You know, the winter months (Jan-March) are my slower months because of the weather, but every January and February, I have a rush of newborn baby appointments...it works out perfectly since I can't have many outdoor appointments AND I only do newborns in my small home studio (or on ocassion, I go to a client's home). High School Seniors - Part 2

I told you I'd add a few more senior images this week and as I was going through all of the senior photo sessions from the last few months, I came across Macey's. She is a cheerleader and a dancer, and we got some really cool shots of her doing some leaps....here is one that I really loved...





Her mom ordered three b&w large prints of Macey in various leap poses like this to hang in a grouping on the wall in their home...how cool is that? Displaying your daughter's talents and personality in beautiful artwork on your wall is much better than buying just any old picture to decorate your home.

High School Seniors

I've been sorting through my images from this last fall and winter photo sessions and I want to start posting some of my favorites. The school year is flying by so I thought sharing some of my high school senior images would be good. I know some seniors have not held their photo session yet and I want to let you know that it is not too late! I am accepting appointments for early spring and this will allow you time to choose from some beautiful portraits to use in graduation announcements, gifts to family, and for passing out wallets to your friends at school. There are also options to purchase the rights to your images and have them available to use on Facebook, MySpace, and other social networking sites. Here are a couple of the seniors I've photographed from the Class of 2011 so far this school year...

Fall is upon us...can't you just feel it in the air? I LOVE IT! Say good-bye to those hot, humid days and say hello to those crisp, cool days with beautiful colors all around us. This is the most popular time of the year to have outdoor pictures done and most of you have already been calling and emailing to reserve your preferred date. It's not too late to reserve yours either! There will be a slight session fee price increase on September 15 (check out my website for details). If you call and book your fall photo session before September 15 (or if you already have made your fall appointment), you will receive the old session fee pricing of $50.00. Generations

Throughout the years that I have been photographing people, occassionally I've had families want to do "generational pictures". This is where we shoot one woman or man from each generation within the family...it is really neat to see when we shoot 4 or 5 generations...what a beautiful keepsake to have of your family. Seeing physical similarites and differences all within one image is beautiful. Here are a a couple shots of a family that I did more recently...

At this same photo shoot, I also photographed the little girl with her daddy too...and let me tell you the images I captured speak a thousand words about her feelings for him...I didn't tell her to "pose" this way, I just told her to take a little walk with her daddy....here are a couple I wanted to share....

Can't you just feel the happiness she has when she is around him? And the first image just shows you how much she adores her daddy. I love it!
